We continue to link the struggle of immigrants with the devastating effects of globalization. Locally, recent immigrants face harsh conditions due to an unreasonable immigration system that allows employers to use workers’ immigration status against those who speak up and demand justice in the workplace. We work with local immigrant rights groups to further their work for a just and sustainable immigration system, as well as work with local worker centers to support the fight for justice in the workplace for all working people. Our immigrant rights committee looks to come up with strategies to support immigrant workers as they organize for change. To get more involved, please contact edwin@massjwj.net.
