Student Labor Action Project (SLAP)

The Student Labor Action Project (SLAP) is a network of Massachusetts students from universities in the Boston area who are committed to maintaining and improving workers’ rights on their campus and in the community. SLAP connects different campuses from both private and public schools so that they can support one another in their struggles.

SLAP has fought with UMass students in their fight against unjust student health insurance, supported Northeastern University activists as they kicked the anti-worker company Sudexo off their campus, and even staged a sit-in at the office of a politician who threatened to introduce Wisconsin-style legislation in Massachusetts. We continue to fight to make all campuses just for both students and workers alike.
