Tell Governor Baker: Child Care Workers Need a Fair Contract!

SEIU 509, the union representing childcare workers in Massachusetts, has been bargaining for one full year with the Baker administration to improve both standards and access to quality child care in Massachusetts. These workers' demands are simple:

  • Improved access to training and professional development for our child care and early education providers
  • Resources that will provide transportation for the children that we care for
  • And Increased rates to ensure stability in our business so we can develop stable and ongoing relationships with the families we serve

As family child care providers, SEIU 509 workers run home based education programs for thousands of low-income families across the state, and they believe early education and care is an essential part of an inclusive society that provide the means for all to succeed.

If you agree, take action NOW to stand in solidarity with the workers who safeguard our Commonwealth's most precious asset -- our children!

Click here and send a message to Gov.Baker: It is time to settle a fair contract with Massachusetts family child care providers to ensure access to quality care for all of our children.
