Our Coalition
Massachusetts Jobs with Justice is a coalition of over 150 member organizations, including labor unions, student groups, community organizations, and people of faith.
Regional Councils
Our member organizations have a voice in the direction of our work at our 3 Regional Councils in Eastern, Central, and Western Massachusetts. Each member organization is invited to send one delegate to Regional Council meetings, which occur quarterly. In Regional Council meetings, delegates are able to confer about present and future Jobs with Justice campaigns and vote on the direction of our work. The Regional Councils also elect our statewide Executive Committee, which oversees the day-to-day work of our staff. Although only delegates are able to cast formal votes, all are welcome to attend these meetings and participate in discussions.
Our Positions
We strive for the greatest consensus in protecting the rights of working people while respecting the diversity of views among our member organizations, but our coalition’s positions are ultimately determined by majority vote in our Regional Councils and Executive Committee. It should not be assumed that member organizations share all the positions of the coalition as a whole unless they have explicitly given their endorsement.
