Massachusetts Jobs with Justice asked you - our partners and coalition members - to let us know what you needed.  And you did:  More voices, more stakeholders, more capacity, stronger communications, and better infrastructure.

We heard you loud and clear!  Our movement needs more Digital Organizing Support and Mentorship. That's why Mass JwJ has partnered with Radicle Organizing to launch the IMPACT Digital Training Mentorship!

This innovative and emergent program is more than just trainings! Cohort members get 1:1 mentorship with experienced digital organizers to build plans for the campaigns they are actively working on. These communications strategies are customized to each organization and the technology is implemented with the guidance of professionals to give hands-on learning experience to cohort members AND real-time impact for their campaigns. There are two distinct pathways for organizations to engage with this program.

Cohort Member

The cohort is an eight-month commitment that in addition to the monthly trainings, every cohort member receives one-on-one support. Cohort members meet with our program mentor from Radicle Organizing monthly, biweekly, or weekly—whichever best fits their needs—to apply the lessons from the workshops directly to the campaign.

While the program is free, cohort members are responsible for two key deliverables:

  1. A capstone project, where they apply at least one tactic from the trainings to a live campaign/project.

  2. A case study about the project, which helps them share the impact of their project with their organization.

NOTE: The 2025 cohort has been selected but knowing you’re interested in a future cohort will help us to secure funding to keep this going!

Check out the 2024 cohort’s success!

Our 2025 pilot IMPACT cohort (formerly DESJ) included 10 organizations from across Massachusetts. Their issue areas ranged from workers rights, voter education, housing advocacy, mental health services, public transportation issues, immigration rights, education justice, racial equity, and the state budget. Each organization was able to plan and execute at least one, sometimes multiple, capstone projects over the course of our 8 month program.

What the 2024 Cohort had to say about the pilot

“This is perfect for any organization looking to expand its online presence in an effective manner and increase outreach.”

“This was extremely helpful in helping organizations get a foot ahead, this can change the entire political landscape by margins.”

“Through participating in the cohort, I’ve acquired a set of invaluable tools and skills that go far beyond what I was expecting to learn. I was able to take what I learned and help my organization become better equipped to manage our various campaign work. We were able to translate the siloed knowledge that individual staffers possessed about their projects and convert it to institutional knowledge so that the work continued after anyone left - this was due in large part to the lessons I learned in my cohort. I can’t speak highly enough of the program - it’s supremely impactful.”

“Our project was tailored to our needs and the pace our organization needed. We were able to automate some of our data work, saving us time and making our lives easier and more efficient.”

“This training has engaged me as a narrative change agent and it has equipped me with new tools and resources to both widen our organization’s reach and deepen our impact through reaching hearts and minds. It does not replace on the ground organizing; it powers it tenfold. This training is just the beginning of what is needed in terms of investment if the status quo is to ultimately to be disrupted.”

“Mass JWJ's Digital trainings have opened my eyes to a lot of new opportunities. It's helped me stay organized as a Communications Manager and juggle the demands of my work without feeling overwhelmed. I get one on one support to help me with one of my campaigns.

Mass JWJ trainings have made a huge difference in how I approach my role and have set me up for success.”
