Nelly Medina: The St. Vincent Hospital nurses are priceless

My son was born at St. Vincent Hospital and is healthy today because the nurses' expertise and experience saved our lives. We must all understand that this strike is so much more than a labor dispute. It is a fight against unbridled corporate greed and the safety of our community.

I, for one, will be walking in solidarity with the St. Vincent nurses, and I encourage everyone to do the same. We cannot measure the importance of a nurse's familiar face, especially when, one day, whether for ourselves or a loved one, the comfort of a nurse we know will make all the difference.
